Working in the Industry
Making memories for guests takes a team of dedicated professionals. While the guides do the work in the field, outfitting support staff ensure that everyone is as comfortable, safe and happy as possible.
Property Management
Camp property maintenance requires a combination of year-round facility, grounds, and infrastructure care, including plumbing, HVAC, septic systems, and winterization, especially in remote locations. Key duties involve regular building repairs, landscaping, road upkeep, waste management, and safety inspections.
Camp Jack
A camp jack is a specialized staff member responsible for the in-season setup, logistics, and maintenance of remote hunting or wilderness camps. They ensure the camp is functional, organized, and secure, supporting guides and clients with tasks like managing woodstoves, vehicles and maintaining supplies.
Cleaning Staff
Cleaners perform established cleaning duties on a daily basis for all guest and team member areas including staff accommodation, common areas and guest accommodations. Cleaners ensure cleaning checklists and maintenance logs are maintained and up to date and maintain garbage collection areas and help facilitate an effective recycling program.
Cooking Staff
Camp cooks prepare, cook, and serve high-volume meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) for staff and sports, often in a remote or rustic setting. Key responsibilities include menu planning, budget management, inventory control, and strict adherence to sanitation and health regulations.
Guiding
Guides are the specialists of the outfitting industry and work daily with sports to experience the best nature has to offer. Guides often contracted by outfitters to match the game and seasons their sports are interested in pursuing.
